8/1996 - 1/2005 The Law Offices of Haines & Campbell, P.C. (Formerly, The Law Offices of Susan G. Haines, P.C. until 11/2002), a small boutique firm concentrating in the area of Elder Law. Senior Associate from 8/1996 through 10/2002; became shareholder in 11/2002. Experience with bench and jury trials; worked on large class action securities fraud (10b5) litigation; appeared before the Missouri Circuit Courts, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Missouri Supreme Court; the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.

1/1985 - 5/1985; 8/1985 - 12/1985 Research assistant to Professor William Knox at the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law. Research and preparation of memoranda in criminal cases; worked to assist counsel for the defense in United States v. Rothgeb, a federal first degree murder case;
